Vicki Ross I believe in magic. I believe in the muse that inspires me and in my attempt to communicate a fleeting emotion into art. I believe in art's ability to heal, first the artist, then the viewer…and if by chance my art touches your soul we both win. Even when my vision is opposite your viewpoint or makes you uncomfortable, I made you stop and think. Charles Reid has been my watercolor tutor in Europe: Italy, Austria, and Czech Republic. Kippy Hammond's La Bonne Etoile in France is my home away from home where I have enjoyed many weeks of intense study in pastels. Ann Templeton (PSA), was the instructor for 2 weeks in France and introduced me to oil. I have also studied with other Internationally known professors including Tony Couch, In 2006 and 2007 I had art shows in France and a joint show with Randy at Carnall Hall on the University of Arkansas campus. My paintings have also shown at the Bella Vista Studio, Gallery West at the Crossings (Bella Vista), NWACC at the Crossings, Mercy Health Center in Bentonville, and a solo show at the Bella Vista Library. I am a member of the Village Art Club, Ozark Pastel Society, Artists of Northwest Arkansas, and a juried member of ebsqplus, a group of self-representing artists selling art online. |

Randy Ross Extensive travel over the past five years has made me rediscover countries that inspired Degas, Renoir, Monet and all the other masters. Studying with watercolorist Charles Reid of Connecticut, pastel artist Kippy Hammond of Paris, France and others, has opened my eyes to more than seeing clouds as puffs of white with a blue background, or a flower as a blurb of bright color. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but is even clearer in the eyes of the artist. My appreciation of nature and beauty has been extended beyond the limits of the imagination. In 2006 I had an art showing in France and a joint show with Vicki at Carnall Hall on the University of Arkansas campus. I am a member of the Village Art Club, Ozark Pastel Society, Artists of Northwest Arkansas, and a member of ebsqplus, a group of self-representing artists selling art online. |
